(An-Nahl) 16 : 91

And when you take covenant with the Lord Allah, you fulfill it. And don’t break oaths after their confirmation while you have made Allah a Witness upon you. Indeed, Allah knows whatever you are doing.

One has to live here in consciousness that he had made a covenant with the Lord when he was created in Paradise as explained in verses 7: 172-173. That is possible only with Adhikr. Whoever breaks that covenant after reading these verses, they are a hypocritical transgressor as explained in verse 2: 27. The Arabic Quran reading Fujjar are liars by hiding and rejecting Adhikr. These soulless men always swear with the Lord by their tongue, but will not keep their promises to mankind as explained in verses 9: 77-78. It is told in verse 17: 34 that indeed, the covenants made in this world will be questioned on the Day of Judgment. So believer always keeps his promises by witnessing the Lord. But if he happens to break any promise, he will do apt compensations for it as explained in verse 5: 89. See explanation 2: 255; 4: 1, 135, and 13: 25.
